As well as being a hypnotherapist and psychotherapist I am also fully trained in the following areas of complementary therapies:
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
I am a level 2 Practitioner and belong to AAMET which is a governing body for those who practice this therapy.
Emotional Freedom Technique is a relatively new and revolutionary way of dealing with all manner of things ranging from anxiety, phobias, trauma and self-defeating patterns, as well as defeating patterns, as well as headaches and physical tension. Results are generally permanent even for long-term issues.
A session involves tapping on meridian points while focussing on the problem. It is gentle and easy to learn. Once learnt, you can also continue to use it on yourself as a self-help tool.
EFT was developed by Gary Craig and is based on pioneering work by Dr Roger Callahan.
How many sessions are needed?
It depends on the complexity of the issue. Often one session is enough but sometimes a series of sessions will be required. My aim is to help you in the shortest number of sessions and in as complete and holistic way as possible. I can also give you guidelines on how to use EFT for self-help between sessions.
I like to sometimes combine both EFT and hypnotherapy but this is always discussed at the initial free consultation.
For more information visit Gary Craig's website at www.emofree.com and www.aamet.org
ChildsPlay Therapy
I also work with children using 'Childsplay' which is a workshop designed to help children with emotional and behavioural problems including children with learning difficulties such as those struggling with maths, spelling, reading and writing. This therapy also helps with those who have coordination problems, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and dispraxia.
This therapy is suitable for children between the ages of 8 and 80 and helps to restore well-being, confidence and communicating skills.
If you have any questions or would like any further information on this therapy please do not hesitate to contact me.
Inner child therapy
We all have within us our Inner Child, but for those who have not had a happy childhood or who have been hurt or abused during childhood, that Inner Child is often hurt and frightened. Using Inner Child therapy, to help heal the hurt and allowing people to move on with their lives, to leave the nightmares behind and begin to love themselves. This therapy can help with things such as self-harming, comfort eating etc.
Again, if you would like to discuss this therapy with me, please do not hesitate to contact me.
