Training
When I first decided to train as a hypnotherapist, I researched the schools and training courses available and found the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis (EICH) (www.eich.co.uk) under the guidance and instruction of Terence Watts. EICH is one of the best schools available and I was lucky enough to get a place on one of their courses and gained valuable and extensive training. Terrence is a much acclaimed and respected leader in the field of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy and is a published author of many books and training manuals on the subject. EICH is accredited by The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP).
Qualifications
After completing a very intensive course I achieved the following professional qualifications:
- Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis with Psychotherapy
- Diploma in Hypnoanalysis (advanced)
- Certificate of Studies in Clinical Hypnotherapy
Professional development within this field is ongoing as new and improved techniques are always being developed. As a member of General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHR) and the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP) I have yearly training objectives that I have to meet and therefore I am committed to continuous professional and personal development in order to provide the best possible therapy to my clients.
